How fast is your connection, really?

About 20 seconds, straight from your browser: download, upload, latency and jitter against the nearest Cloudflare edge — then a plain-English read on what your numbers can actually handle. Nothing is sent to Xaccel or stored.

What this connection can handle

How this test works: your browser downloads and uploads real data over several parallel connections against Cloudflare's nearest edge location and times every byte — the same technique as the big-name speed tests. Traffic goes to Cloudflare only; Xaccel receives nothing and stores nothing. Testing over Wi-Fi, a VPN, or while others use the network will lower the result — that's real, not a bug.
WHY / THREE NUMBERS

Speed isn't one number. It's three.

Marketing sells you the first one. Your team's daily experience depends on all three.

Download — the headline

How fast data reaches you: web pages, file pulls, streaming, cloud apps. This is the number ISPs advertise, and for most offices it's the one that matters most.

Upload — the silent bottleneck

How fast you send: your video feed on calls, files to the cloud, backups offsite. Cable and fiber-to-the-node plans often cripple upload — and video calls are the first casualty.

ms

Latency & jitter — the feel

How long a round trip takes, and how consistent it is. High or jumpy latency makes calls stutter and remote desktops lag — even on a "fast" 500 Mbps line.

NEXT / SLOW OFFICE?

Numbers lower than your invoice says? That's a conversation.

We audit circuits, Wi-Fi, firewalls and ISP handoffs for a living — and we hold providers to their SLAs when the slowdown is on their side. A slow office is usually fixable, and often cheaper than the "upgrade" your ISP is pitching.
